Think about the last time you peeled an orange.  Remember that invigorating scent and how you felt at that moment.  Did you feel uplifted?  I work in a small office and every time someone peels an orange, someone makes a remark about how good it smells.

This is because the aroma of orange has been known to awaken your senses and mind all the while boosting your happiness.

Personally, I love to blend wild orange essential oil* with peppermint essential oil together.  They have a beautiful synergy that is very energizing and uplifting.  The simplest way to use them is to put one drop of each oil in the palm of your hand.  Then rub your palms together, cup your hands over your nose and inhale deeply.  This is the perfect antidote to the mid-afternoon slump.

Cinnamon Essential Oil

Cinnamon is a popular spicy scent during the cooler fall and winter seasons. There’s a reason for this, cinnamon has been proven time and time again to lift energy levels, invigorate your senses and boost your mood.

Jasmine Essential Oil

Personally, I love to blend lavender oil with wild orange and diffuse it.  I also like to add a drop of lavender essential oil to some raw honey and make a warm tea.  I drink this at night to help my brain shut off and get ready for sleep.

Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint essential oil*is cooling, energizing and invigorating.  It is well known to help with digestion.  Why do think some restaurants give out free mints after a meal?

It also helps with head and neck tension, giving quick relief when applied to your temples or back of your neck.

Peppermint is very powerful and can give you an immediate energy boost.  I personally keep these little gems with me at all times.

When using peppermint essential oil, be sure to not get it in your eyes.  I’ve done this by not being very careful when applying it to my temples to relieve head tension.  It burns!  Really bad!

Peppermint blends especially well with Frankincense. I love to use them in a roller ball bottle.  I add 10 drops of peppermint and 10 drops of frankincense in a roller ball bottle and top off with fractionated coconut oil.  I keep this one in my gym bag and use it before workouts.

Sandalwood Essential Oil
