11 Ways to Take Control of Your Health During a Pandemic
This pandemic is teaching us some very tough lessons.
Are you in one of the following camps?
- You believe the virus is a real threat and you are terrified for your life and others.
- You believe the virus is real but not much of a health threat. You believe it is a threat to your personal liberties.
Either way, you’re in a powerless situation. Whether you fear the virus or fear the government, fear paralyzes you.
It’s time to stop the fear and end the powerlessness. It’s time to take your power back. It’s time for you to be in control of your health and your destiny. You absolutely can take control of your health during a pandemic.
It’s time to rise up!
Fear, worry and anxiety lower your vibration and create more of the same.
Hope, empowerment, and confidence raise your vibration and create more of the same.
The question is, what do you want to create? What kind of world do you want to live in?
Let’s start creating a better world.
The first thing we have to do is change our mindset. #reframe
6 Ways to Change Your Mindset to Take Control of Your Health
Practice Gratitude
Practice gratefulness. It can change everything. Think of all the blessings this pandemic has brought us. It has forced us to slow down and spend more time with our families. It has forced us to reevaluate our priorities.
What is one thing you are truly grateful for during this time? Focus on that one thing (or things). When you’re in a state of gratitude, you attract more things to be grateful for.
Practice Mindfulness
Practice being in the moment. Try not to focus on frustrations of the past or worries of the future. Only focus on the here and now and make it more impactful by focusing on something you’re grateful for.
Being mindful means being fully present in the moment. To be aware of your sensations and emotions each moment. When you’re being mindful, you’re not distracted by things outside of your control.
Pray/Meditate
Take time each day to take yourself away from the stress and go inward. Go to a space of peace and calm. Find the answers your soul is seeking.
If you don’t like to pray or meditate, try journaling.
Acts of Kindness
Be kind to others. Help others in need. How can you feel bad when you’re helping someone else? Take your focus off your stress and focus on someone in need. Being kind raises your vibration and creates more kindness.
Get Involved
If you’re more afraid of government overreach than you are of the virus, get involved. The government works for you. They are elected officials. Contact them, write them, tell them how you feel and what you expect from them. Rise up. Vote.
Have Compassion for the Other Side
If you fall into one of the above camps, have compassion for those on the other side. Understand they have a strong belief system. You don’t have to agree with them. You can still love and respect them. Compassion also raises your vibration and creates more compassion. Being angry or frustrated with someone for not believing what you believe creates a victim mentality. You do you, let them do them.
5 Ways to Take Responsibility for Your Health
Empower yourself. Stop being a victim of your circumstances and take control of your health and your life.

Boost Your Immune System
Your health does not depend on whether or not someone else is wearing a mask. Please let that sink in. Your health depends on you and how you take care of your body. Stop letting someone else’s choices have so much power over your life.
You can’t control a virus or if you will come in contact with it. What you CAN control is your response to it. If you have a healthy immune system, you have nothing to fear.
