Candles Versus Essential Oils
Many of those delicious smelling candles that give that warm glow in your home are also emitting harmful, toxic carcinogens into the air you breathe. Candles also leave a black film on your walls and ceilings, and, of course, they’re a fire hazard.
Pure essential oils, on the other hand, emit healing compounds into the air you breathe. So, the choice is yours. You have many options available to you to make your home smell warm and cozy this fall. Will you choose to fill your home with toxic chemicals or healing compounds?
Health Benefits of Fall Diffuser Blends
The essential oils in the fall diffuser blends listed below are perfect for fall and winter because they are especially helpful in boosting your immune system. Many of the oils in the fall diffuser blends are seasonal oils. Remember, Mother Nature doesn’t make mistakes. She provides us with what we need when we need it. The plants abundant in the fall season are specially designed by Mother Nature to help keep us healthy during the fall and winter.
I do believe very strongly that all of us and all of the other things in the context of our planet with Mother Nature, all of these things absolutely have a profound effect.

What are the Best Essential Oils to Use?
You need to do your homework and find a company that sells pure essential oils. Unfortunately, you can’t just go by the label or packaging. You really do have to do your own research. I’ve done my work, and I choose doTerra. I’ve used many different brands from many different sources. Now, I only use doTerra.
The oils in the fall diffuser blends below are doTerra oils. You might need to make some substitutions if you’re using different oils. Also, you might need to make a substitution if you don’t have a particular oil. No worries. Use your imagination. You really can’t mess this up.
If a recipe calls for Siberian Fir or Douglas Fir, use whatever fir oil you have. If you don’t have a fir oil, use another tree oil.
You can substitute cinnamon for cassia and vice versa. If a recipe calls for both oils, just use more of the one you do have.
You can substitute tangerine with wild orange and vice versa. You can also use clementine or green mandarin.
You can also play around with cedarwood, sandalwood, and arborvitae. They have similar woody, grounding scents.
Don’t be afraid to experiment. You might come up with a combination you can’t live without.
How Many Drops Should You Put in the Diffuser?
That depends on how big your diffuser is, and how strong of a scent you prefer. Remember, you really can’t mess this up. If you’re new to essential oils or particularly sensitive to smells, start with a lesser amount and gradually increase over time.
If you’ve been using essential oils for a long time and prefer a strong scent, add more oils. Just try to keep with the proportions of the recipes.
For most typical size diffusers, six total drops a good place to start. That is what the majority of the fall diffuser blends below have. If you have a large diffuser, you can start with 12-15 drops of essential oils.
You can also enjoy diffused essential oils when you’re out and about with beautiful essential oils necklaces and bracelets. *Hint– these also make great gifts for your natural-minded, essential loving friends and family members.
